Art, Culture & Flair –
The Spa Town of Merano
The green city of Merano/Meran enchants with its Mediterranean climate, framed by snow-capped peaks rising over three thousand meters and a charming medieval old town.
In the 19th century, Merano became a beloved destination of European nobility – including Empress Sisi herself. Even today, you can follow in her footsteps through the spa town: strolling along the promenades, visiting the Wandelhalle, or exploring the spectacular Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle.
Just 40 minutes by car from the Schnatzhof, Merano invites you to immerse yourself in a world of culture, shopping, sightseeing, and pure enjoyment. And with the South Tyrol Guest Pass, public transport to the city is free of charge.
